It’s been a while & 2005 in Review(sort of)

I’ve passed all my courses for this semester and I’m very thankful for my results. But more tough ones would be coming.

So while other blogs would be having a recap of the good and bad things of the events that have transpired thus far, I will concentrate only on the positive side of what has happened. Now not that I’m denying the unsavoury stuffs that had happened, it’s to our best mental health if we were to count our blessing once in a while. This are the things that I could come out from the top of my head and I’ll add them as more come along. I’ll probably ping this post on Petaling Street so that I can get more comments(not for publicity sake but to obtain other fellow malaysian views on this subject. I’ve been in the hinterlands for quite a while as it’s evident in my not so constant posting. Looks like I’m no longer enamoured by the ‘blogging craze’ that truth be told caught me like how a cat would be when a ball of yarn is placed in front of it. It was great penning my thoughts….it’s kind of therapeutic but studies got hold of me for the past few months. I’d continue penning my thoughts but not so regularly as I used to.

So let’s start the recap shall we (in no particular order):

  • Nicol David winning the World Squash Champion title
  • Tamil film industry is finally coming out with good movies(actresses are still imported from the north but hey..no complaints…Tamil beauties like Sneha and Trisha make my day)
  • Previously sensitive stuffs are now being mentioned in newspapers…this augurs well for the country unlike in the previous administration where all unsavoury stuffs were hidden…well although we don’t know whether serious actions are taken to combat the ugly things that have been happening in our country for so long, the fact that its coming out means that the current PM deserves a mention.

Hmm..what else can you guys think of. Do tell. Please comment. So this post I guess now means that I’m officially back in the blogging fraternity.

I’ll be back!

One down, 4 more to go.

Now let’s head to this link for a short while, click here. Okay..Done reading it. Now here is my comment.

Are we just happy being contenders in SEA Games. I mean what has happened to us. I say the athletes should not at all rest. Laurels ? I give credit to them for doing well but I’m sure those guys can do better. Why not go for bigger and better things. Go grab several gold medals from the Asian Games and then SEVERAL medals from the Olympics. I’m sure these athletes have what it takes to be world beaters. Ofcourse, it’s already a big thing to compete in international events but being malaysian…I simply believe and refuse to bulge from this stance..that we as Malaysians are capable of being World Beaters. We can be Champions. Take Nicol David for instance. If she could do it through sheer grit and determination… I don’t see why our fellow malaysian athletes can’t do it.

A challenge to Malaysia:

Athletes…I dare you to get 10 gold medals in the Olympics. Come on, you guys can do it. Defy expectations and hell get more than 10. And Nicol…keep on shining. The candle in the wind in these turbulent, deprived of sporting success time.
